Ferdinand Pauwels (1830-1904), Belgian history painter, active in Antwerp and as a professor at the Weimar Academy, where he counted Max Liebermann among his students. Two figure studies of workers, pencil/charcoal pencil on paper, one sheet with the estate stamp and both with the collector’s stamp of Erhard Kaps (1915-2007), to 27 x 34 cm, on cardboard/passepartout 33 x 44 cm.
