”Zinnober”, Älteste Volkstedt, Rudolstadt, late 20th century, model no. V 21017, design by Kati Zorn, from the series ”Hoffmanns Erzählungen”, Zacher, called Zinnober on an armchair above a stack of books, polychrome painted and ornamentally gilded, h. 19.5 cm, Kati Zorn, born 1962, trained as a porcelain designer at the Lichte training center and at the Meissen State Porcelain Manufactory. 1982-1999 employed at the ”Oldest Volkstedt Porcelain Manufactory”. 1986 Worked under the direction of Peter Strang in Meissen. Since 2000 self-employed as a porcelain sculptor in Cursdorf, Thuringia.
