Letter of nobility from Emperor Joseph II of Austria for one Christoph Gottlieb Döhn. Undated, ca. 1760. Red velvet binding with cords and ribbons. Inside 10 parchment pages, 9 of which are inscribed in calligraphy (on both sides), with large title lines. Full-page polychrome painting of coats of arms. Last page with personal signature of Joseph II. With large attached wax seal of Emperor Joseph II in round seal capsule made of gilt brass with finely chased imperial coat of arms on the cover. Portfolio rubbed, ribbons somewhat worn. Pages good. Seal capsule 15 cm in diameter. Folder 37 x 26 cm
