ship’s chronometer, Lange & Söhne Glashütte made in GDR, Cal. 100 quality mark Q1, probably 1949-1976, No. 12892 on mahogany wood case with side handles, case and dial, the Lange & Söhne engraving was probably done with a different machine, the clock gimballed, screwed bezel with faceted glass, dial with residual gilding and black inlaid Roman numerals, gilded hands, gilded hands, white enamel escapement echement, white enamel escapement and blued hands, running, white enamel escapement, white enamel escapement and blued hands Roman numerals, gilt hands, indication for seconds and remaining time, the movement wound by fusee and barrel on a steel band, temperature compensation balance with cylindrical balance spring, chronometer escapement, with contacts for impulse transmission out of the case, movement running, dimensions over the case 18 x 18 x 18cm
