Kapala (skull bowl), Tibet, probably 19th century, human skull with silver-plated and partially gilt metal mount, with fine, embossed relief decoration with Buddhist emblems. A row of skulls on the rim (with a small missing part, parts included). Lid with vajra knob. Corresponding decoration on the trefoil base. Rubbed and slightly chipped, h. 24 cm
