Rudolf Anton Guba. 1884 Hamburg – 1950 Munich. View of Bremen with Schlachte, cathedral and the tower of the cotton exchange, probably around 1920, oil on canvas, signed R. Guba and illegible date lower left, 80 x 70 cm, framed 97 x 87.5 cm – The tower of the cotton exchange was covered with wooden scaffolding from 1912 to protect passers-by from falling parts and was rebuilt in the 1920s. After war damage in 1944, the top of the tower was not rebuilt.
