Four dinner plates from the red dinner service, KPM Berlin, marks pre-1945, 1st choice, red imperial orb mark, year mark Delta for 1929, painter’s mark for Hermann Kranz, model 337, shape Antik Zierat, the spandrels decorated with purple scales with attached flower garlands. The rim entwined with a purple ribbon, large flower painting in the mirror, heavy signs of use and firing, Ø 25 cm, 1 plate verso with gold stamp: SR. HOLINESS POPE PIUS XI ON THE OCCASION OF THE GOLDEN JUBILEE OF HIS PRIESTHOOD THE GERMAN IMPERIAL GOVERNMENT. On the occasion of his golden jubilee as a priest in 1929, Cardinal Achille Ratti (1857 – 1939), who was elected Pope Pius XI in 1922, received a dinner service that followed the Rococo service for Frederick the Great in terms of form, color and decoration.
