Willi Maillard (1879-1945), Berlin-born painter, from 1896 to 1898 he attended the Königliche Kunstschule there, from 1898 to 1908 the HdK, followed by several participations in the Große Berliner Kunstausstellungen, for example in 1906 and 1911, and in 1914 in the first exhibition of the newly founded Freie Secession, ‘Die Taufe’, oil/canvas, signed lower right, inscribed on frame plaque, 74 x 103 cm, framed 92 x 121 cm
