Empire pendulum, 1st half of 19th c., fire gilded, marked ”Desailly a Donai”, musician with lute, lyre and music stand at the clock block, richly decorated with further musical instruments and floral motifs, white enamel dial with black roman numerals and blackened bregue hands, framed by a floral wreath, the base with instruments and further floral objects, based on guilloché rounds, many edges with diamond cut, the quality of the fire gilding unusually good for the age, french clockwork with 1/2 hour disc striking movement on bell. Round movement with 1/2 hour disc striking on bell, clockwork running, h. 41cm, w. 30cm, d. 11cm
