Walter Kostka (1884-1970), Berlin architect, designer and painter. Initially active primarily as an architect, he worked for Bruno Paul as well as the first architect in the Royal Palace Building Commission under Oberhofbaurat Geyer. For Osram he designed some lamps. After World War II, he devoted more time to painting. Two paintings: Still life with pumpkin on a chair, and portrait sketch of his father-in-law Johann Kupke, oil on canvas and on cardboard, respectively, each monogrammed, 50 x 40 cm, framed 53.5 x 43.5 cm
