A roasting platter with detached roses from a royal service KPM Berlin, c. 1790-1800, 1st choice, Kurland form, polychrome painted with scattered rose petals, white drapery on a mint green rim, ornamental gilding, l. 44 cm, Princess Auguste of Prussia received a dinner and dessert service “with detached small roses and green border” as a dowry from her father, King Frederick William II, on the occasion of her marriage to Prince William of Hesse-Kassel.
