Figure pendulum, 2nd half 19th century, contemplating woman on a column with the signs of science, decorated with ribbons and tendrils, cast white bronze, on pink marble plinth, inscribed ” Meditation” on the base, champagne-colored dial with black arab. Dial with black Arabic numerals, polychrome tendril painting and blackened hands, gilded bezel, flat faceted glass in gilded beaded glass rim, French round movement with 1/2 hour disc strike. Round movement with 1/2 hour disk striking mechanism on bell, starts, 40 x 32 x 14cm
