Ludwig Adolf Wilhelm Freiherr von Lützow (1782-1834), Prussian major general and freedom fighter. Major General and freedom fighter, leader of the Lützow Free Corps in the Napoleonic Wars of Liberation, ”Farewell for the Citizen Wiggert”, discharge certificate for the volunteer Samuel Wiggert, born in Halle, who had served in the (Jäger) Detachment of the III Battalion in the Royal Prussian Free Corps since 1813. Frei-Corps, which was disbanded due to the Allerhöchsten Kabinets-Ordre of April 30, 1814, inscribed and dated ”Stabs-Quartier Etichoven bei Oudenarde 3. June 1814”, with seal of the Freicorps and engraved signature of Lützows, 19. Signature von Lützows, 19 x 32 cm, traces of folding, on verso handwritten note of ownership by the collector Hans Behnen, who owned the sheet since 1925 – Collection Hans Behnen, Berlin.
