Very rare medieval document dated August 1265 on the occasion of the foundation of a chapel at Forarium (today Vernoil-Le-Fourrier, Department Maine-et-Loire) by the abbot of the monastery of Malleonio, apparently parallel to the castle built in 1265 by the knight Geoffroy Le Fourrier, Latin manuscript on parchment. Manuscript on vellum, 32 lines, formerly 2 hanging seals attached by means of partially preserved two-colored (blue and white) thread bundles (probably hemp) at the bottom center of the folded edge (plica), each with 3 incisions missing, 36 x 38 cm, folded 3 times, v.small holes along the centerfold, verso later inscribed with ownership note, later Latin transcription, German translation (19th century) and proof of provenance enclosed.
