Ernst Bischoff-Culm (1870-1917), German painter from Pomerania, who studied under Carl Steffeck in Königsberg, among others. He built up the artists’ colony in Nidden and was a member of the Berlin Secession. He lost both hands in France during the First World War and took his own life shortly afterwards.
