Two children with hobbyhorse and flag, China (probably Canton), c. 1800, watercolor on paper. Very finely worked and detailed depiction. Inscribed on a label to the reverse of the frame ”Martyn Gregory, 34 Bury St., St. James’s London (…), Chinese Artist, ca. 1800 (…), Provenance: taken from an album the property of John Rawlings”. Framed behind glass with passepartout, wooden frame with black lacquer and gold staffage. Examined in framed condition, frame slightly rubbed, paper slightly yellowed, water stain. Frame dimensions 54 x 46 cm
