Unknown 18th century portrait painter, Portrait of Donna Giuditta Guaita Odescalchi in a red dress pointing to a letter addressed by her to Signora Prona Colina, oil on canvas, relined, unsigned, inscribed with the sitter’s name on the verso, 96 x 71 cm, restored, minimal paint loss, framed 110 x 84 cm. Pope Innocent XI, who was elected in 1676, came from the noble Odescalchi family in Como.
