Otto Modersohn (1865-1943), Badende (Louise Modersohn-Breling) in der Wümme, c. 1910, oil on cardboard, signed Otto Modersohn lower left, 49.3 x 64.6 cm, framed 67 x 82.5 cm – The original is available with a certificate of authenticity from Christian Modersohn from 1997. The bather is Modersohn’s second wife. The cardboard was previously painted on both sides and was later separated. On the reverse was a variant of the theme ”The Wedding Procession” – exhib: Fischerhude 2008/2009 (Otto Modersohn Museum), New Beginnings in Fischerhude 100 Years Ago, no cat.
