Wavy foot vase, Heidi Manthey, signed, for HB-Werkstätten, Marwitz. 1990s, ceramics, white tin glaze, poloychrome painted with her characteristic female mixed creatures, h. 19 cm, Ø 14 cm, Heidi Manthey, b. 1929, Leipzig 1946-49 studied painting and graphic arts in Leipzig with Walther Münze and Max Schwimmer. 1949-52 studied ceramics in Halle/ Burg Giebichenstein. After 1956 collaboration with Hedwig Bollhagen in Marwitz. Teaching assignments at the Berlin-Weißensee Art Academy from 1975-80 and at Burg Giebichenstein from 1980-97.In addition, catalog with similar works by the artist
