Two fireplace plates, probably 18th century, cast iron, one plate, probably Alsace, depicting an arcade architecture in relief with group of figures in antique robes filling jugs, a woman carrying a jug on her head, below the 4-line inscription ”Das Ohl gar reichlich vermehrt/ Der Sohn vom Todt zum Leben kehrt/ Im Todt sich Gottes Gut beweist/ Mit wenig Brodt viel Menschen feist” (Elijah awakens the widow’s son, Book of Kings), 70 x 75 cm, the other plate with relief depiction of a jumping horse in a leaf wreath, 2 holes on the right, 60 x 53 cm, the pieces cannot be shipped because of the weight.
