Seaman’s secretary, late 19th century. Rectangular mahogany body forming a sloping writing surface when opened. Interior with leather overlay with gold embossing, various compartments. Lock with key and matching curved strike plate. On the lid a matching curved brass cartouche, corners with brass reinforcements, slightly rubbed, 16 x 40 x 24 cm.
