Pair of vases (probably imperial), Russia, c. 1830, attributed to the Imperial Glass Factory St. Petersburg. Bronze gilt (ormolu), cobalt blue glass with cut decoration with stars in diamonds. Square plinth. Round, profiled and ornamented foot, bulbous body with ribs, flared handles. Lip rim with gilded mounting with palmette decor. One of the vases restored, h. 21 cm.
