Wilhelm Focke (1878-1974), an artist working in Bremen, studied at the art academies in Düsseldorf, Munich and Weimar under Ludwig von Hofmann and in Berlin under Arthur Kampf. He cherished friendships with Max Liebermann, Oskar Kokoschka, Max Slevogt and Hans Thoma. Set of 3 sketches: head study of a boy, young men with horses (both sides), back figures of naked young men (both sides), pen and ink drawings on paper (partly trimmed), unsigned, with the estate stamp, sheet dimensions up to 35 x 21 cm.
