Ernst Hassebrauk (1905-1974), painter and graphic artist from Dresden, studied there and in Leipzig, where he became a master student of Willi Geiger. Under the Nazis he was banned from exhibiting. In 1947 he was appointed professor. Among his students was Werner Tübke. ”Peterssteinweg in Leipzig”, etching with drypoint on wove paper (papier vélin), signed by his widow at lower right, WV 139, 28 x 39.5 cm, sheet dimensions 40 x 53 cm.
