Seaman’s secretary, Holland, late 19th c. Rectangular wooden corpus with mirrored mahogany veneer. On the hinged lid a brass cartouche with engraved name of a Dutch captain. Brass pivoting handles on the narrow sides, one of which is on a side drawer. Interior with dividers and fold-out writing surfaces. One of the hinges on the lid broken off, otherwise lightly rubbed, 19 x 45 x 27 cm.
