Focke, Wilhelm H. 1878 – Bremen – 1974. full-motion painting. 1912. colored pencil/paper, unsigned, on verso inscribed and dated Vollmöller Frühjahr 1912 Bremen, 11,5 x 19 cm, Hadré 2130.- Focke captured here the flight of probably the 1910 developed motor plane ”Rumpler Taube” with the pilot Hans Vollmoeller (1889-1917) at the Bremen airfield: Vollmoeller had made a name for himself as a successful competition pilot on the ”Taube”. He died in a flying accident in 1917.
