Trimborn, Hans. Plittersdorf – 1979 North. Portrait of a child. After 1919. oil/painting cardboard, veso signed u. inscribed Trimborn Norderney, framed cm.- During his medical studies at the University of Bonn 1913-16 and the following years, autodidactic works were created under the influence of the Rhenish Expressionists – Trimborn was acquainted with August Macke. After World War 2, he broke off his medical studies and settled on Norderney in 1919 as a freelance artist and musician, and from 1920 also maintained contacts with the Worpswede artists such as Bernhard Hoetgerahmt Through him he became acquainted with the works of Paula Modersohn-Becker, who became his great role models.
