Holtz, Erich-Theodor. 1885 Storkow – 1956 Wustrow. The Fischländer church in Wustrow. 1943. oil/canvas, signed lower right a. dated E Th. Holtz 43, 63.5 x 77.5 cm, framed 79.5 x 94.5 cm.- Holtz settled in Prerow after his studies at the Dresden School of Arts and Crafts and the Berlin Art Academy between 1914-24 and headed the Darßer Kunsthütte. In 1934 he moved to Wustrow. He was chairman of the ”Künstlerkreis Fischland” as well as a member of the artists’ collective Ahrenshoop.
