Oil/canvas, signed upper right Michel Durand, u. inscribed Solide Capitain Georges Gericault 1831, cm, 65 x 80 cm, craquelé, framed 74 x 89.5 cm.- For the Solide is documented for 1839 under Captain Canevas a passage from Bombay to your home port Saint-Malo. She was loaded with rice and coconut oil. She sank in the same year.
