Oil/canvas/plywood, signed Smidt Hbg lower left, inscribed on verso Uhlenhorster Fährhaus Hamburg 2, 15 x 20,5 cm, small spot in the sky, framed 24,5 x 30 cm.- The Fährhaus with restaurant on the Outer Alster was a popular destination for the people of Hamburg and an attraction for many artists such as Max Liebermann or Pierre Bonnard, who liked to choose the crowded terraces with views of the Alster as a motif.
