Large head U.Z.. 1995/96. oil/canvas, bottom right signed a. dated MUhlig 95/6, verso signed, titled a. inscribed: Max Uhlig Kopf U.Z. 1995 to 5.I.96. (last work before studio fire 6. I. 96). 95.5 x 80 cm, unframed.- In enclosed letter Uhlig mentions the 1996 studio fire at Pillnitzer Landstr. 59 in Dresden, in which a large number of his works were destroyed.
