Pencil and light brown ink pen on strong paper, dedicated with light brown pen upper right partly difficult to read (because faded), signed, place-noted a. dated: a mon cher Bo un.ka …..evient (?) Giorgio de Chirico Paris Aout 1929 as well as signed again G. de Chirico lower right, sheet 27,4 x 20,9 cm, faded, trimmed at the corners, in the upper third faint horizontal crease, at the right sheet margin grip crease, verso at o. sheet margin mounted in passepartout. 44,5 x 36 cm, unframed.- De Chirico often took up the motif of the two mystical horses of Achilles in ancient landscape by the sea. The drawing recalls, among others, his painting Cavalli in riva al mare from 1927/28 (Museo Carlo Bilotti) or also the bronze Cavalli antichi created by him in 1969 (Fondazione Giorgio e Isa de Chirico, Rome).
