Letters to Fräulein Wencke, 1) January 29, 1907: Enclosed I am sending you the festive cards…, 2) February 2, 1907: Unfortunately, I did not meet your sister yesterday at the dance to give her some hints for today’s festivities: At 7 o’clock the halls will be opened and at 8 o’clock the hustle and bustle will begin…, concluding with: Mit verbindlichem Gruss ergebenst/Ihr sehr ergebener HVogeler, one-sided on letter paper with Barkenhoff vignette, sheet 28 x 22 cm.- Very likely the letters are addressed to Otto Modersohn’s student Sophie Wencke (1874-1963). Her sister Clara stayed in Worpswede since 1903.
