Hall, Peter Adolf. 1739 Borås – 1793 Liège. Round miniature portrait of a lady in white muslin dress with light blue bow. 1791. probably tempera on bone, signed a. dated Hall 1791 lower left, in front of light blue velvet in silvered medallion frame with blue glass cover on the back D. 8,5 cm.- Hall was a French court painter under Louis XVIII and Charles X. A supporter of Jean-Jacques Rousseau, he participated in the storming of the Bastille in 1789 and went into exile in 1791.
