Imari shoulder vase, Japan, Arita, Edo period(1603-1868), 1st half 19th c., Porcelain with cobalt blue underglaze, iron red onglaze painting and gold color, wide flower vase ribbed in the shape of chamoe melon with numerous medallions with the so called Buddhist wishing jewels, on the sides splendid bouquets of bamboo, plum, pomegranate and peony blossoms, in the main picture fields the view over the fence of the garden with peach tree and Taihu stone to a sea of chrysanthemums, below lined with lotus blossom border, 20x17cm
