Wilhelm Focke (1878-1974), an artist working in Bremen, studied at the art academies in Düsseldorf, Munich and Weimar with Ludwig von Hofmann and in Berlin with Arthur Kampf. He cherished friendship with Max Liebermann, Oskar Kokoschka, Max Slevogt and Hans Thoma. Mixed lot of 4 sheets with sketches (1x double-sided): Oil study sea surf, nude boys, body studies and horses, 2 x monogrammed, all with estate stamp, sheet dimensions to 23 x 32 cm.
