Wilhelm Focke (1878-1974), an artist working in Bremen, studied at the art academies in Düsseldorf, Munich and Weimar with Ludwig von Hofmann and in Berlin with Arthur Kampf. He was friends with Max Liebermann, Oskar Kokoschka, Max Slevogt and Hans Thoma. Mixed lot of 22 small sketchbooks and blocks plus single sheets, partly monogrammed or signed, various techniques and motif genres, partly with heavier traces of use, to approx. 17 x 25 cm
