He cherished friendships with Max Liebermann, Oskar Kokoschka, Max Slevogt and Hans Thoma, study sheet with male nudes, c. 1903/1910, pen and ink on tracing paper, monogrammed WF at lower right and with estate stamp, sheet ca. 38 x 25 cm, mounted at o. corners on backing paper. 42 x 30 cm, WV Hadré 1835, upper right creased, unframed
