Ernst Hassebrauk (1905-1974), painter and graphic artist from Dresden, studied there and in Leipzig, where he became a master student of Willi Geiger. Under the Nazis he was banned from exhibiting. In 1947 he was appointed professor. Among his students was Werner Tübke. Dresden, ”Schiffsanliegeplatz”, etching with drypoint on copperplate printing paper, signed by his widow at lower right, Wv 243, 12.5 x 25 cm, sheet dimensions 27 x 39.5 cm.
