Art deco figure ‘Flute Player’, Rosenthal, Selb, mark 1922-33, 1st choice, designed by Gerhard Schliepstein (1886-1963) circa 1933, signed in base, model no. 1246, a young man playing a flute with loincloth and cape, standing on a vaulted round base, ivory colored, typical for Schliepstein’s style with accentuated elongated proportions and angular, partly two-dimensional modeling, h. 34,5 cm, cf.
