Figural candlestick in the shape of a sphinx, Meissen, after 2000, limited edition 028/100, 1st choice, designed by Christian Gottfried Jüchtzer in 1788, model no. 79307 (old number I85), fully sculpted depiction of a seated, winged sphinx as a hybrid creature in the shape of a lion with the head of a pharaoh with a Nemes headscarf.
