The 143rd catalog of the Historia Auction House is now available both in print and online. From April 3rd to 6th, more than 3,600 items will be up for auction. The highlight of the offer is a fresh-to-the-market painting by Leo Putz from a private collection, entering the auction with a starting price of €18,000 (Lot 7239).
Among the silver objects, a sophisticated, foldable cabaret from Hanau stands out, which comes from the Georgian princely family Dadiani (Lot 1291, starting price €1,000). In the clocks section, an opulent Boulle clock from around 1720 is noteworthy. With an overall height of 109 cm, it features a movement by the Parisian clockmaker Andre Furet (1691-approx. 1740) (Lot 3017, starting price €5,000).
Dimitri Chiparus (1886-1947) contributes a chryselephantine figure. Although it is not one of his famous Art Deco dancers, but rather a modest maid, it is still an important combination figure made of bronze and ivory (Lot 3347, starting price €4,500).
The various items section includes a rare Persian ceremonial album from the studio of Mohammed Baghir Hakim-Elahi, which was gifted by the Persian Shah to the Dutch industrialist Frits Philips (Lot 4304, starting price €2,600). Among the paintings and graphics are a pastel by Julie Wolfthorn, a lithograph by Serge Poliakoff, a watercolor by Max Weiler, a Marylin invitation signed by Warhol, and much more.
The preview will take place on March 29th and 30th, as well as on April 1st, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at our premises at Manteuffelstraße 27, in 12103 Berlin-Tempelhof. The auction will be held from April 3rd to 6th, starting each day at 10:00 a.m.
